Nutrition & Menus
Stepping Stones provides free breakfast & snacks throughout the day!
We know that nutritious meals and snacks are an important part of keeping children fueled for busy days of learning, playing, and growing! Each day, we provide breakfast, a morning snack, and an afternoon snack for our students. As a CACFP-affiliated program, our menus are planned with nutrition and variety in mind and follow applicable Child and Adult Care Food Program meal-pattern guidelines.
Families are responsible for packing a lunch for their child each day. Because we do not have a full-service kitchen or the ability to cook meals on site, lunches should arrive ready to eat cold or ready to be reheated in the microwave. We encourage families to pack balanced, child-friendly options that their child enjoys and can comfortably eat during lunchtime. Information about our current menus, food policies, and any classroom-specific needs will be shared with families throughout the year.

CACFP
We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a federal program that supports nutritious meals and snacks for children in care. CACFP provides nutrition guidelines that help us offer balanced, age-appropriate foods and encourage healthy eating habits from an early age.
Our participation helps ensure that the breakfast and snacks we serve meet established nutrition standards while still offering foods that are familiar, enjoyable, and kid-friendly!
