At Stepping Stones Preschool & Child Care, children are encouraged to discover their individual strengths and unique talents in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
We believe every child has the capacity to learn and grow at their own pace, and that learning is most meaningful when it takes place in a setting that is emotionally secure, physically safe, and fun.
Since opening our doors in August 2021, Stepping Stones has grown alongside the families we serve. What began as a small program with two classrooms has evolved into a thriving preschool community. Through dedication, thoughtful growth, and the support of our families and community, we have expanded our classrooms, increased enrollment, and proudly participated in Pre-K Grant programs, allowing us to better serve children at critical stages of development. Today, Stepping Stones continues to thrive with multiple classrooms, a strong team of dedicated educators, and a commitment to high-quality early childhood education.

Embracing Diversity
Stepping Stones Preschool & Child Care warmly welcomes families of all faiths, ethnicity, cultures, and backgrounds. We believe diversity includes not only race, culture, and socioeconomic status, but also the wide range of physical, cognitive, and social abilities each child brings with them. Our goal is to create classrooms that reflect children’s unique abilities, home cultures, and lived experiences.
One of the most powerful ways we teach children about diversity is through intentional role modeling, showing kindness, respect, and acceptance in our daily interactions. We also encourage families to share their home traditions during enrollment, and throughout family engagement events during the year.
We maintain an open-door philosophy, welcoming families and community members to participate in our day-to-day learning.

How We Started:
My name is Mrs. Cindy, and I am the Director and Owner of Stepping Stones Preschool, Inc.
I always knew I wanted to work with children. When I was little, I loved playing school—and of course, being the teacher! After a career change in 2012, I decided to stay home with my youngest child, returned to college, and opened a home childcare program. I quickly realized this was what I wanted to continue doing. In 2020, my husband, John, and I had the opportunity to start a commercial preschool, and we decided to take a leap of faith because, honestly, I couldn’t imagine doing anything other than working with children. I am excited to start our journey with your children in this new setting.
I have a master’s degree in education, a minor in early childhood education, and a bachelor’s degree in business. I previously taught third grade in a public school classroom for several years.
