RESOURCES

Every child grows, learns, communicates, and experiences the world in their own way. Sometimes families or teachers may have questions about a child’s development, behavior, communication, social-emotional skills, or other individual needs. When those questions come up, our team is here to support families, not to label or diagnose. We can help connect families with trusted community resources, screenings, and additional support when it may be helpful.

One of the resources available to families is Child Find through Rio Rancho Public Schools (RRPS), which offers screenings of preschool-aged children whose parents/guardians have concerns about their speaking, understanding of language, learning, eye-hand coordination, movement, socialization,
behavior, or other concerns.

Our program also partners with the SEED (Social and Emotional Early Development) program. A SEED consultant visits our center approximately once or twice each week and may spend time in classrooms observing and supporting our teachers and children. SEED works collaboratively with our staff and families to strengthen children’s social-emotional skills, support healthy development, and recognize behavioral or developmental concerns early.

If you have questions about your child or simply want to learn more about the support available, we’re always happy to help you find a place to start.
