Mrs. Cindy

My name is Mrs. Cindy, and I am the Director and Owner of Stepping Stones Preschool, Inc.

I always knew I wanted to work with children. When I was little, I loved playing school—and of course, being the teacher! After a career change in 2012, I decided to stay home with my youngest child, returned to college, and opened a home childcare program. I quickly realized this was what I wanted to continue doing. In 2020, my husband, John, and I had the opportunity to start a commercial preschool, and we decided to take a leap of faith because, honestly, I couldn’t imagine doing anything other than working with children. I am excited to start our journey with your children in this new setting.

A little about me…

I have a master’s degree in education, a minor in early childhood education, and a bachelor’s degree in business. I previously taught third grade in a public school classroom for several years. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and moved to Rio Rancho, NM, in 2007 when John and I got married and bought our home. We have five children: Greg, Ashley, Eddie, Isaac, and Sophie. We also have nine grandchildren, including two sets of twins. We have three dogs—Roxy, Bandit, and Apollo. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with John and all of our kids and grands. I also enjoy traveling, camping, jeeping, spending time at the lake, and shopping.

Mr. Lucian

My name is Lucian, and I am the Assistant Director here at SSPS. I have worked with children from a young age and have always been passionate about supporting their growth, happiness, and individual needs. I earned my degree in Early Childhood Development from CNM and have experience in special education as well as ABA therapy, which has shaped my inclusive and compassionate approach to care. Outside of work, I love collecting Spider-Man Magic: The Gathering cards, Pokémon cards, and recently started a Star Wars lightsaber collection. In my downtime, I enjoy watching Studio Ghibli films and spending time with my partner and our five fur babies—four cats and one dog—who are truly my family.

   Ms. Destiny

I grew up taking care of my younger brothers who are now 11 and 13. Currently, I spend alot of time with my sweet nephew Josiah. That is where my passion for little ones comes from! In my free time I enjoy going to concerts, spending time with my dog Cosmo, hanging out with friends/family, traveling, and eating some good food! I am so excited to be a part of your children’s learning journey in their crucial early years. I am committed to providing a loving and supportive environment for your children to grow and thrive!

Ms. Cass

Hi! My name is Cass. I have a full, busy home life with five kiddos, three cats, two dogs, and 1 snake—so there’s never a dull moment!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, singing, and traveling whenever I get the chance. I have completed some college coursework with a focus on Psychology, and I spent several years working in the addiction and mental health field. That experience taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of meeting people where they are.

After some time, I felt called to start fresh and return to childcare, where I could make a positive impact early in children’s lives. I am currently a Classroom Floater and part-time Admin. I’m so excited to support our little learners and create needed content for our parents and teachers.

            Mr. Issac

Hello! My name is Isaac, though the students often call me Mr. Isaac. I am the lead teacher in Pre-K 1. I have been in childcare for seven years, five of those as a lead teacher. I truly love my job; every day is exciting, bringing new challenges and unique situations that keep the classroom dynamic.

I love the energy and excitement students bring to school. My teaching philosophy is built on 'firm but fair' love; I maintain clear boundaries while remaining as emotionally available and caring as possible. Education runs in my family—my mother has been in early childhood for over 15 years, so I have been surrounded by this work my entire life.

A special part of our classroom is my dog, Roamie. She is a state-certified Emotional Support Animal and my best friend. The children love having her in class, especially when they need a hug or extra comfort. I look forward to working with all of our families and providing the best support possible for your children.
